Start as you mean to go on. If the dog soils in your house, make sure the dog knows you are angry and show the dog where is acceptable to go to do its business. The same with jumping up at people, this can be very annoying and you need to show your dog who's boss. I don't mean in an agressive way, but you need to set your boundries straight away.
